Programs at BRAVO

Our Programs

At the beginning of our service, we arrange a personalized meeting to discuss each individual's desires, requirements, and interests. The individual service plan helps in setting and accomplishing goals effectively.

Shared Living Program

Our Shared Living Program offers specialized services to enhance skill development and independence while ensuring quality care for supported individuals. Home Sharing Providers are carefully selected through an interview process initiated by contacting our Community Living Managers at BRAVO. As part of this process, a comprehensive home study is conducted to evaluate potential providers, ensuring a compatible match.

While individuals may choose another agency, BRAVO agency conducts thorough home studies for interested providers. Our goal is to create an optimal living arrangement where caregivers share their homes and family life with individuals, in a person-centred approach, supporting them in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life.

BRAVO agency provides extensive support and resources to both caregivers and supported individuals, including supervision, monitoring, and information sharing. Community Living Managers are readily available to address any inquiries from providers, offering guidance and assistance throughout involvement in the program.

Prospective providers undergo a rigorous screening process, including criminal record checks, first aid & CPR certifications, home and vehicle insurance verification, a valid driver's license, and medical clearance. Meeting these criteria is essential for approval within the Agency Coordinated Shared Living Program, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Community Inclusion Program

Our Community Inclusion Program, encompassing both Community and Home Based services, is designed to support individuals residing in their homes, their family/caregivers' homes, Home Sharing arrangements (either internal or external to the agency), and Staffed Residential Homes. The allocation of service hours is determined by CLBC through a needs assessment, with the schedule of service collaboratively established in consultation with each individual. Operating as a "Day Program," service delivery hours typically span from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Within this program, our focus is on facilitating various community inclusion activities tailored to the preferences and interests of the client. These activities may include support for employment/volunteer work, as well as the pursuit of any goals or interests articulated by the individual or outlined in their Individual Support Plan. The versatility of our Community Inclusion Program ensures a personalized approach to service delivery, fostering independence and enriching the lives of those we support.

Skill Development Program

Our Skill Development Program is adaptable to individuals residing in various living arrangements, including those mentioned earlier. While similar to the Community Inclusion Program, it has a distinct focus on goal setting and the attainment of essential life skills. This program encompasses a range of pursuits, emphasizing the development of skills such as meal planning, cooking, budgeting, household maintenance, personal shopping, and personal care.
In addition to life skills, the Skill Development Program provides assistance with any written documentation individuals may need to complete, ensuring comprehensive support in both practical and administrative aspects of daily living. The program is structured to empower individuals with the necessary skills to enhance their independence and overall quality of life, promoting self-sufficiency and personal growth.
